Just to avoid the potential confusion- this isn't the official KashFlow iPhone app (due to be released for beta testing later in Jan 2010), but one Andrew has created himself. It looks very good though!

Glad to hear you are releasing an official app. This one is rubbish.
You can not log in at all, even with v1.1.

Also there is no support contact details on his site.

AVOID, WAIT UNTIL THE OFFICIAL ONE.

If you need to contact the developer of an app, there is a Report a Problem link in the iPhone App Store app for every app's detail page. Three other users managed to contact me and report this problem, and they helped me resolve it. You can also report a problem through iTunes (as explained here).

V1.1.1 is awaiting approval from Apple. I have no control over this process, and it usually takes about a week to go through their review process. Also consider that each previous version was approved by Apple, so clearly it didn't crash on login for them either.

Without the help of the people who contacted me I wouldn't have know what this issue was, as it was dependent on the data in their KashFlow accounts, and I didn't have the same problem, and nor did any of my beta testers.

If you also use the Report a Problem link to contact me, and send me your device ID, I can send you a build that resolves this problem.

I have also added my email address to the support webpage, which you clearly haven't looked at since you made the original inflammatory remarks in your review. Making claims as you did on the app store review doesn't help me, and also doesn't help you.

I have worked on this app in my spare time, and quite frankly the abuse you have given me made me consider giving up developing apps for others and just keeping this app for myself.

    Andrew,

I did use the report a problem link in iTunes, to which I just got a response from apple to contact the developer.

There were no contact details on your site, so this was impossible. That was on 22 Jan, when I downloaded v1.1. Do you really expect me to check your website everyday to see whether or not you have decided to add an e-mail address.

If your contact information was readily available, I would have contacted you before leaving any feedback, but this was not the case.

A Quote from the link you have provided.
I look forward to v1.1.1. After which I will revise my feedback based on whether or not the app has been fixed.

    Great App

Hi I have been using this app all week, out on the road now I can do a job invoice from my iphone and email to the customer there and then, very very good.

I did have a prob at the start that Andrew promptly fixed, and it turn out that it was because some of my customers and suppliers only had a code and no name..

Well done Andrew keep it up.

Not sure which link you used, but it was clearly the wrong one. As I said, a number of other people figured it out.

Of course I don't expect you to check my site every day. The problem I have is that you waited until the 26th to post your comment on this thread, by which time I had updated my site. You didn't bother to check again before posting here, which means your statement was incorrect at the time you made it here.

Finally, that link you posted is not about an app purchase, it is about the in app purchase mechanism, where you buy content such as extra game levels from within an app.

Anyway, version 1.1.1 is currently under review with Apple, which means they have started testing it. I expect it to become available Monday or Tuesday.

V1.2 update awaiting approval by Apple

V1.2 is awaiting approval by Apple. Changes include:
    • App now tolerates customers/suppliers without a name and/or code. This was the root cause of the crashing on start-up problem that some users experienced.
    • Emailing invoices now always uses the company contact email address if present, rather than remembering the first customer details.
    • App now uses IP Address Auto Authorisation so that access to the API is blocked to unknown IP addresses. Turn on "Only allow specific IP addresses to access my account via the API" and then "Enable AutoAuth" noting your "AutoAuth Key". When you login the first time with this version you will need to enter this key. This key can be modified via the "Settings" app pane for this app.
    • When adding receipts/invoices, overview page is refreshed to reflect new totals.
    • Changed Invoice/Receipt line item editor so that description field is bigger.
    • Remembers invoice/receipt line rate, VAT rate and description for each customer/supplier and auto-fills it when creating new line item.
    • Overpaid invoices/receipts are now clearly marked "Overpaid".
    • List of Customers/Suppliers can now be filtered by pulling down on the table.
    • Fixed problem where company names were truncated if they contained ampersand or apostrophe.

    Hi,
Firstly well done on taking the initiative, all in your own time.
Would it be out of order for me to suggest both you and KashFlow to collaborate on the development to save duplication of effort and all the benefits of current bug fixes?

Thanks again for your efforts, I will prbably contact you for quotes to develop apps for my customers, if you are interedt?

    best wishes,

    - Vince

    Thanks

    Hi Vince,

Thanks for your support. KashFlow are close to finished their own app, but as yet I'm not sure what sort of features it will have, so I'm going to carry on with my app. Competition is good for both of us anyway!

Contact me at iPhoneApps@jackmanpeden.com if you want to discuss other apps. Depending on the complexity I may have time to build something else, however I currently have 2 other apps under development as well as this one, plus a full-time job!

Version 1.3 of my app is undergoing beta testing now. Upcoming features/fixes include:

    • Overdue invoices/receipts shown in overview, summary and detail views.
    • Amount paid now displayed on invoice detail view.
    • Can now drill-down into unpaid/overdue invoices/receipts, which are sorted by customer/supplier.
    • The VAT rate defaults to 17.5% when adding line items to invoices for new customers/suppliers. This default rate can be modified from the settings app.
    • On login, only downloads customers modified (and added) since last login.
    • Can now enter invoice/receipt number when adding/editing invoice/receipt.
    • ChargeType (Sales Type for invoice or Outgoing Type for receipt) now editable on invoice line.
    • Fixed bug that crashed app when adding second paid receipt.
    • General improvements in receipt creation when attaching a photo and payment.

    Andrew
